Dear supporter,

As we embrace summer’s warmth and energy, I’m thrilled to share how Travellers Aid continues expanding its network of connection and support across Victoria, creating new pathways for independent travel and community participation.

Our geographic reach is growing significantly through valued partnerships. Following our successful launch of Melbourne Airport Assist earlier this year, we’re now establishing new service hubs at Geelong Station and Parkville Station in Melbourne’s medical precinct. These strategic locations join our existing network at Southern Cross, Flinders Street, Seymour and Ballarat stations, creating a comprehensive web of support points that help people get where they need to go with confidence and dignity.

Summer also brings our busiest events season. Whether you’re heading to the Australian Open, Formula One Australian Grand Prix or attending other major events, our teams are ready to support you in making the most of our city’s vibrant cultural life, regardless of mobility or access needs.

On 3 December we celebrated International Day of People with Disability. I particularly want to acknowledge the invaluable contributions of people who share their lived experience to drive positive change. Their input and expertise shape our service design, development and delivery. We are also grateful to our team of training facilitators with disability who share insights that create better understanding through our popular Accessibility Awareness Workshops, including ‘Travelling in the Shoes of Others‘.

This growth – through new locations, expanded services and sector training – goes further still with the support of generous donors like you. By contributing to our Summer Appeal you’ll be helping us establish these vital service hubs and equip them properly. Every donation helps us hire and train more staff, purchase mobility equipment and extend our reach to more Victorians.

Together, we’re not just removing barriers to travel; we’re opening doors to employment, healthcare, education, entertainment and community connection.

Will you help us go further?

Please consider supporting our Summer Appeal today.
