Friends of Travellers Aid

Friends with purpose

Travellers Aid is a dynamic not-for-profit organisation. We help connect people to people and people to place.

Our Vision is to be a society where people with mobility challenges are treated with dignity and respect, being able to lead full and rich lives with confidence.

Our Mission is to empower people with travel related challenges to connect, engage and participate within their communities through the use of public transport.

With a rich history spanning over 100 years, Travellers Aid has been there for travellers in need. It is only with the generosity and shared purpose of our friends and supporters that continue to make the Travellers Aid Vision and Mission a reality.

A Friend indeed

“They help me get through the everyday – I wouldn’t be able to see out my own dreams without their assistance.” – Christine

“I had been thinking that it might have been the last time visiting my sister, but I feel empowered to undertake the journey for some years now knowing that I can access this support.” – a valued client

“My son has Cerebral Palsy and finds it a struggle to walk long distances. We were able to use your free service for the Anzac Day game at the MCG. The buggy took us to our gate making our day so much more enjoyable. We are so appreciative for this service.” – Cathy
