Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show (MIFGS)
Travellers Aid will be providing an Access and Inclusion Service to encourage everyone to participate in one of Melbourne’s most iconic and beautiful events.
The service will assist people with mobility challenges to access the event and with getting around the venue if required.

Services, locations and times for MIFGS
The service will be available to Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show guests during the following:
DATES TIMES
Wednesday 29 March 8:45am – 5:15pm
Thursday 30 March 8:45am – 5:15pm
Friday 31 March 8:45am – 9:15pm
Saturday 1 April 8:45am – 5:15pm
Sunday 2 April 8:45am – 5:15pm
Southern Cross Station
Our team at Southern Cross Station will provide Connection Service Assistance at the station where guests can be met on the platform and transferred by buggy to Yarra Trams Stop – 1, (Bourke & Spencer Streets) to connect onto the 86 or 96 tram services which will take guest to Stop – 11 (Gertrude Street), the closest tram stop to the Main Entrance of the show. This service can be booked by calling 03 9670 2072 or you can make an online booking at www.travellersaid.org.au
From this location we also offer Companion Service volunteers to support people with a mobility challenge or people who are unsure about using public transport to the entrance of the Flower and Garden Show. BOOK HERE or call 03 9068 8187.
Yarra Trams Stop – 11
Travellers Aid team members will be located at Yarra Trams Stop – 11 (Gertrude Street), where they can assist guests from the tram to a Buggy Connection Service which will take guest to the Main Entrance and back to the stop for their return trip.
Wheelchair or personal guidance within the grounds
Travellers Aid can provide support within the event grounds by wheelchair or personal guidance delivered by trained volunteers.
Buggy Connection Service
A buggy Connection Service will operate from Yarra Trams Stop – 11 (Gertrude Street), to the Main Entrance and from the Accessible Parking Facility (between Rathdowne St and Southern Drive) to the Main Entrance.
Mobility Equipment Hire at MIFGS
Pre-book your wheelchair or stroller via the form below. A limited number of manual wheelchairs, strollers, walking frames and scooters will be available for daily hire onsite (terms and conditions apply).
Onsite hire is subject to availability. Credit card payments only.

$100 refundable security deposit required on each item hired

Mobility Scooter – $40 Daily rate
$100 refundable security deposit required on each item hired
