We are seeking applications from local volunteers to help us deliver this valuable service.
Volunteer Duties
Accompany a service user to travel via public transport (train and/or bus) to and from their medical appointment.
Provide guidance throughout the journey, including assistance with journey planning and finding appointment locations.
Provide support through a friendly presence while building confidence and capability to travel independently.
About you
Familiar and comfortable with using public transport, or willingness to learn
Flexible and adaptable
Enthusiastic
Observant
Able to work independently/unsupervised
Strong verbal communication
Familiarity with local health services (desirable but not essential)
