Travellers Aid's Annual General Meeting venue and date have been confirmed for 2010
The AGM will take place on:
Thursday 21st, October 2010 in the Yarra Room at Melbourne Town Hall at 1:30pm.
As was the case last year, the City of Melbourne has generously sponsored this event. The guest speaker this year will be the Public Transport Ombudsman.
The Ombudsman's office deals with complaints about Victorian public transport that members of the community have been unable to resolve directly with public transport operators. The public Transport Ombudsman provides a free and fair service, independent of both public transport operators and the government.
2010 IRSA Daily Living Expo

The IRSA Daily Living Expo will be held at Caulfield Racecourse on 25-26 August 2010. There will be more than 100 companies displaying a wide range of products and services for people with disabilities and the elderly. On display will be the latest in assistive technology, mobility solutions, pressure care, employment support, accessible recreation/holiday ideas, modified motor vehicles and a lot more.
A feature of the Expo is the Clinical Education Program that is run 2 days in room conveniently located above the exhibition floor. The 2010 seminar program will be available early next year. Admission to both the Expo and the Clinical Education Program is free and there is plenty of free parking onsite at Melbourne Racing Club.

On behalf of Travellers Aid and the Committee of Management of ER Victoria, please share with us congratulations to Rivkah Nissim, Kathy Landvogt and Benno Engels on the launch of their report 'Under Pressure' today.
The report was launched at Anglicare's Mission House in Fitzroy by the Hon. Jenny Macklin MP Federal Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. 'Under Pressure' was jointly published by ER Victoria, VCOSS, Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service and RMIT University, and thanks goes to more than 30 ER Victoria member agencies who participated in providing crucial content and data for the report.
