Travellers Aid Australia is a not-for-profit organisation with a 95 year history that provides vital services and dignified outcomes to travellers in need, including those with special needs and facing emergency situations. With a strong sense of social justice, we are also committed to changing attitudes towards travel access and equity. Our services include:

  • Travellers Aid Access Service (TAAS): Free personal care assistance for people with disabilities.
  • Emergency Relief: Service available at Southern Cross Station.
  • Mobility Equipment Hire: Including strollers, electric scooter, manual and electric wheelchair hire.
  • Internet access, baby-change facilities, accessible toilets, adult-change facilities and ceiling hoists, safe and comfortable lounge areas, luggage storage and tourist information.
