Travellers Aid Australia’s Emergency Relief program provides assistance to travellers who are disadvantaged or facing unexpected emergency situations, no matter what their background. Re-uniting travellers in crisis with family, friends and other supports can help them feel empowered, safe and
dignified. We provide people, including those who are stranded, vulnerable, distressed, disadvantaged, homeless or at risk of homelessness with practical relief such as:
- Information
- Referrals onto accommodation and support
- Other material aid such as food packages on a case-by-case basis
- Subsidised travel tickets for medical, family crises, court matters, employment and other reasons
