Melbourne Carex 2011

We're hosting a stall at Melbourne's CAREX 2011 Expo

On the Wednesday 6 April and Thursday 7 April 2011, Travellers Aid Australia will travel to Caulfield for the 2011 Melbourne CAREX Expo.

This Expo is Australia's premier health and aged care exhibition.

We warmly invite you to come and visit us. As well as providing you with fact sheets about our services and locations, you'll be able to meet some of our friendly, trained Client Support Officers, who assist seniors and people with a disability in transit with their everyday needs.

VTIC Quarterly Industry Forum

Are you part of the tourism industry?

The Victorian Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) quarterly tourism industry forum will be focusing on “The Economics of Inclusive & Accessible Tourism” on 15 June 2011. Jodie Willmer, CEO of Travellers Aid Australia will be presenting alongside other expert speakers.

VTIC hosts quarterly industry forums to allow the broader industry and public to hear from keynote speakers on relevant issues or topics affecting the industry and to have their say during an open discussion session.

Vision Australia Telelink Program

Commencing from 6 July 2011, Travellers Aid Australia is participating in a four-week Special Interest Telelink Program with Vision Australia.

The Program - an innovative initiative by Vision Australia which is delivered via teleconference to participating clients - provides regular ongoing social and peer support, special interest and recreation activities for people who are socially isolated or live some distance from a Vision Australia centre.

Australia Day

All Victorians and visitors to the State are invited to visit Government House, Melbourne on Australia Day 2012. Visitors will be able to view the State Apartments, the Private Apartments and the Governor's Study. Many of these rooms are not normally open to the public

Melbourne Tourism Industry Exchange

Melbourne Tourism Industry Exchange is turning 5 this year and Destination Melbourne is pleased to announce that the event will be taking place on Tuesday 4th of September as a part of the Victoria Tourism Week celebrations.

This year will also see the event revamped with a new venue. ZINC at Federation Square, right in the heart of our great city, will play host to the visitor industries biggest information exchange.
